Starting this summer Sol Mountain Lodge is open for hiking. By mid summer the snow recedes, opening up a world of flowers and alpine colours. The rolling terrain of the Monashees offers easy hiking to lakes, ridges, and peaks. There is fishing in Margies, Peters and Bear Lakes. Evenings are spent enjoying the long sunsets from the covered deck. The summer season runs from July 23 to September 23. Trip dates can be customized.

Located in the Gold Range of the Southern Monashees just sixty kilometers south of Revelstoke the lodge offers hiking access to Monashee Provincial Park and surrounding terrain to the east and south. The lodge sits in an expansive alpine meadow at treeline, with easy access to the ridge above and surrounding lakes and peaks. Terrain is mostly non technical, with many great loop hikes available. Sol Mountain is also a great staging point for multi day hikes into Monashee Provincial Park.
For the 2007 summer season we are making the lodge available as a ‘hostel’ type situation where you can book individually or as a group. Trip dates are totally flexible. Choose from self guided or fully guided and catered trips. The lodge is accessible by 4WD vehicle or helicopter transport. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Revelstoke and 2 hour drive from Nakusp by logging road.
