2009 Rates & Availability

It's your holiday. The Sol skiing program is designed to meet your expectations. We make this happen by letting you decide the length of stay, type of trip, and the skiing pace. Choose from three, four, six or seven night stays, fully guided and catered or private lodge rental.

The Sol Serve Experience -Accommodates 12 to 16 guests

This is the fully guided and catered trip. You only need to eat, sleep, and ski - the rest is up to us. Certified ACMG guides who know the terrain ensure that you find quality skiing no matter the weather. Book as a full or part group, or individual - we can combine small groups to fill the trip - each group skis with their own guide. We ski with one guide for each 6 guests.

Lodge Rental - Accommodates 12 to 18 guests

The lodge is available to private groups. The group must describe their level of experience and competency prior to booking and have a trip leader. Sol Mountain Touring insists that groups with limited experience be guided. A caretaker will remain at the lodge to ensure that the lodge functions smoothly during your stay. For exclusive use of the lodge you need to book a minimum of 14 people. If you do not have a full group we will combine groups to fill the lodge, this relieves you of the chore of organizing a full group. Our lodge easily accommodates mixed groups with a large commercial kitchen and private rooms. Certain trips will be set aside for mixed groups – contact our booking office.

Choose from four, six, or seven night stays, fully guided and catered or private lodge rental. Please contact us so we can customize your vacation.

Avalanche Skills Training (AST) Courses

In December we'll be offering the option to book a 4 night trip as an AST Level 1 or Level 2 course (see below for specific dates). These courses follow the 'Level 1 or Level 2 Avalanche Skills Training' course syllabus developed by the Canadian Avalanche Centre. Instructional materials and student handbooks will be provided by the CAC and a certificate will be issued at the end of the course. These avalanche training courses are now a prerequisite for more advanced CAC courses. Cost of the course is $785 per person with self catering. Catering is available for those groups that are interested, please contact us. Cost includes, instruction, lodging, all course materials and helicopter transfer to and from the lodge. Waiver of Liability

Sol Mountain Touring is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable mountain experience. Ski touring in the backcountry mountain environment exposes skiers to inherent risks. All guests must read and sign a Release of Liability and Waiver of Claims Agreement before the start of a holiday at Sol Mountain Touring. This is common practice for all backcountry ski operations in British Columbia. Be sure to review the waiver prior to your holiday. Contact us if you have any questions.

Non Skiers & Kids

Non-skiers are welcome to join groups. Cost is only helicopter, food, and accommodation (no guiding cost). Our policy for children is no cost unless an extra helicopter flight is required – then it is heli cost only. Minors are also welcome to join groups if they are strong skiers and accompanied by a parent.

Cancellations & Travel Insurance

Trips will not be cancelled due to weather conditions. This is typical of any holiday in the vacation accommodation industry (ie. booking a holiday in Hawaii). Guests are recommended to purchase private cancellation, travel, hospital, and accident insurance. Contact your local travel agency.
